Crash tests with the PRIMUS dummy were recently carried out for a study in the field of accident reconstruction. These were rear-end collisions between cars and bicycles. To secure the results, the dummies were subjected to an autopsy in the CTS laboratory in order to record the damages on the test specimen for the evaluation of the study.
The PRIMUS dummy as impetus simulation model
Not only CTS was represented with a booth at the Safety-Week in Würzburg last week, but also the internationally active EDAG group from Switzerland.
A special eye-catcher at this year's event was EDAG's "CityBot" innovation model. The PRIMUS dummy was a special passenger.
In this train, the cooperation between CTS, EDAG and HWT Dresden was announced. Currently, a simulation model of the PRIMUS dummy is being developed on the basis of the Impetus model, which should be available in spring 2021.
