Successful conversion to the new DIN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 for CTS.
"Testing of road restraint systems; Testing of support structures for road equipment; Testing of vehicle security barrier systems" - this is the official description on the accreditation certificate that CTS now holds according to the new DIN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 standard for testing laboratories. The conversion, carried out by DAkkS (Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH), is the basic prerequisite for CTS to continue performing industrial tests to the highest standard. "We are very pleased that we were once again able to meet the high demands of the DAkkS. Especially the flexible accreditation according to Category I allows us to steadily expand our service portfolio. ", says Michel Osterkemper (Head of Technical Department/QMR). In addition, "Low Speed Impact Tests" can now also be carried out on vehicle security barriers in accordance with PAS 170-1.

WWU research project
The WWU (Westfälische Wilhelms Universität Münster) conducted crash tests with the PRIMUS dummy on the CTS site as part of a research project. In cooperation with the engineering firm Schimmelpfennig + Becke and Accidenta, the motion behavior of dummies and real people was investigated in collisions with low overlap.
